ARY Digital produced nearly 21 dramas throughout 2019. These dramas covered a broad range of issues like domestic violence, forced marriages, black magic, etc. Then there were some romantic super hits like Do Bol and Meray Paas Tum Ho. Amid all these intense plays, Barfi Laddu and Bulbuly brought a much needed comic relief.

Storyline/Plot:

Mannat must expose the real offender in order to bring justice to her deceased friend who lost her life saving her honor. The criminal’s family does all the wrongdoings to save him from punishment. However, it does not hinder Mannat to abandon her pursuit for justice. She loses her husband at the hands of the same man and goes through a miscarriage before finally bringing the culprit to the gallows.

The drama highlights that going for the right path demands sacrifice and a firm determination. It also exposes the vulnerabilities and weaknesses of our country’s legal system.

Storyline/Plot:

Jamal’s decision of marrying his daughter; Maryam with his nephew; Ahmed (living in Malaysia) results in horror. Maryam learns the shocking reality that her husband is jobless and the family is in a financial crisis instead of living a settled life as promised. She bears the frequent domestic abuse at the hands of her husband all the while earning bread for her in-laws. Finally, a sad incident results in her redemption.

The drama teaches the parents to be vigilant while choosing a life partner for their children as this choice can make or break their lives.

Storyline/Plot:

Storyline/Plot:

Storyline/Plot:

Geeti has to surrender before her father’s wishes and is bound to marry her cousin Zafar, a man she hates. Later, she has to marry her family servant, Badar as a punishment after she fails to flee home and marry her lover Sameer. Badar; always a silent lover of Geeti struggles to keep her happy since she was used to live a luxurious lifestyle. The couple goes through intense times before a final reconciliation. Geeti’s father also seeks repentance for bringing agony to his daughter’s life.

The drama highlights the consequences of forced marriages and ill decisions of parents. It also depicts the capability and strength of love to overcome severe circumstances.

Storyline/Plot:

After the death of her loving husband; Arman in a house robbery, Nain Tara has no other refuge but to stay in the same house. A tough time waits for her ahead as her sister in law (Arman’s elder brother Farhan’s wife), Zareen makes her life hell by frequently abusing and humiliating her. Zareen leaves the house after developing differences with her husband on the same matter. Farhan is left with no option but to marry Nain Tara in order to avoid speculations. However, Zareen comes up with an envious plan to ruin innocent Nain Tara’s life.

The drama depicts the horrors of one of the deadly sins: envy. An envious person has no one to avenge but himself. The story also serves the poetic justice: good for the good and bad for the bad.

Storyline/Plot:

Shamsuddin’s daughters always get an apathetic response from their father as he always desired a son. Their mother is too feeble to stand by them. Their paternal aunt; Pakeeza phuppo aggravates their woes when she exploits all the family members and marries her eldest and jobless son to the eldest daughter Saba. Saba finds no solace even after marriage as her husband teases and suspects her character. Pakeeza too will go to any extent to exploit her daughter-in-law but her actions result in a tragedy for her own daughter.

Storyline/Plot:

The drama follows the story of Farhat’s greedy family. She has taught her three sons to only pursue money. Storyline/Plot:
