Story of the Drama
Esha is a working woman who is dear to her family due to her goodness and individuality. She is married to Arsal but awaits her wedding reception (Rukhsati). Both do not share many similarities since Esha is a bit reserve and Arsal wants a more friendly relationship. However, Esha thinks it improper for the time being to get too close to him. This situation brings Arsal close to her younger sister Zunia who is active, interesting and talkative, a perfect match for Arsal. Secretly, Arsal and Zunia develop a love affair between them. Arsal now refuses to marry Esha but his father pressurizes him to do so.
On the eve of Esha’s marriage, Zunia reveals her love for Arsal and threatens to suicide if she is not married to Arsal. Consequently, Arsal divorces Esha and marries Zunia. After that, they both have to live separately. Differences start to emerge between the two over financial matters.
Before her death, Esha’s mother wishes to marry her with Zaid, Arsal’s younger brother who likes Esha. Zaid and Esha’s marriage envies the other couple. The newlywed couple develops a romantic relationship between them and enjoys most of the time. Arsal, seeing all this, is now ashamed of his mistake since Zunia has been unable to bring happiness to his life. He suggests Esha get a divorce so that they could reunite again but Esha rejects the idea. Zaid hears the incomplete conversation and doubts his wife. He resolves to divorce her for her happiness. Esha clears out the misunderstanding and both restart the happy life. While Zunia, after an accident, is ashamed of all her wrongdoings and is deprived of bliss which the other sister enjoys.
