Faraz gets puzzled when his mother prefers Maham over Anum. Anum’s grandmother berates her for speaking disrespectfully in front of Faraz’s mother, warning her to control herself before things get out of control. Soon, Faraz’s mother relents when she finds out that Faraz likes Anum, and she agrees to marry him to her.
Anum rages when her soon-to-be mother-in-law gifts her an inexpensive engagement ring and refuses to take any dowry. She creates a fuss in the house, demanding to be given a full-fledged dowry. Faraz and Anum develop a friendly bond and plan a happy future together. Anum comes across a dowry package on an installment basis and persuades her mother to avail of it.
Shakir initially hesitates to pay interest on the loan but Rahat convinces him in its favor. Shagufta sees nightmares of the murder she committed to acquire wealth from her close friend.
