Working Women

"Working Women," authored by Bee Gul, explores the lives of six women who share a women's hostel. Anusee, the main protagonist, finds meaning in her life by converting her home into a hostel. The show explores a variety of subjects, including the predicament of Hindu girls who are compelled to convert, as typified by the character Asha. The story also highlights the difficulties experienced by women like Sadia, who is driven to pursue her aspirations despite hailing from a low-income family. Anoushay Abbasi's portrayal of Sadia signifies a character which is enduring a difficult life. Amber, another girl, flees her stepfather's home, attempting to forge her own path. Rosie, a nurse, faces the societal stigma associated with her occupation. The drama, directed by Yasra Rizvi and produced by Qaiser Ali, premiered on September 20, 2023. The episodes have duration of 40 minutes and air every Wednesday at 9 pm (PKT) on Green Entertainment. The production is a collaboration between Q&K Productions and Multiverse Entertainment.

    Excellent job. In addition to portraying the miseries of Pakistani woman, also depicts their courage and resilience. Entertainment plus a morale booster for those who are suffering. I don’t know if there have been other female centric series but for me it was the first and excellent.
