As far as Urdu Cinema goes, Eveready Pictures goes back to the inception of Pakistan. It is the parent company in the Eveready Group of companies, founded by J.C. Anand, now headed by his son, Satish Anand. It operates as a producer and distributor. It has produced films like Jeeva, Saheli, and Dulhan in the ’50s and ’60s and didn’t produce anything major beyond the ’80s. Since then, it focused less on production and more on distribution.
